About the Author

The series continues

And it keeps getting better. The overall storyline is fairly straightforward, but it is all right. This is a great addition to what is becoming a great series. I do agree it is a shame that Obi is only mentioned and not seen, but it's ok. The ending is pretty good as well. The first "cliffhanger" in the series. It was nice to have Dex brought in, even if it is for just the one book. Of course, (minor spoiler alert) it never says that he dies, so maybe he'll be back in later editions of the series.
It will be interesting to see how many of the mentioned characters will end up dead before the end of the series. I have a feeling that two, maybe four, will end up "not alive" by book ten. And I think all have force abilities. Time will tell I guess.
I will say that it is starting to read more like Star Wars with each passing book. The epicness is starting to creep in. It went from sort of narrow - one person searching for another on one planet and small scale - to more epic - we are now getting galaxy-wide. The danger is ramped up a little with each passing page. The Empire is coming off as what we seem to remember from episodes 3-5 of the movies. Jude Watson has captured this dark period of the Star Wars universe very well.

Another adventure to live

I am happy to have another adventure of the Last Jedi. I have been following this series on Kindle, but bought the book when I could not get it on Kindle. I really hope that one day they will compile all of this series into on very large novel. Whether on Kindle or in Print I will buy the complete works.
