About the Author
� � � � ��A. L. Elder is an independent author. She lives with her husband of sixteen years, and her yellow Labrador, Haole in the beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon. She is a career girl, college student, step-mother and avid writer.
��������� Her passion for writing began at the age of nine. She spent her childhood riding her horse, Jake and gardening with her Grandfather. Adult responsibilities took precedence over her passion for writing. In 2012 she took a creative writing class in college and the dam restraining her imagination quickly turned from a trickle of ideas to a flood of stories waiting to be written.

READ THIS AND DON'T PEE IN YER UNDERWEAR

Go ahead and read this but be warned....(as we were taught as young girls)....keep yer legs crossed to avoid 'accidents' !! Don't be drinking anything either.... Why? Because throughout this book of short stories/anecdotes/ lifes daily crazies, you will be nodding in agreeement, laughing hard and picturing yourself in each and every chapter.
Every time i thought THIS is the funniest one yet, there was another one coming in just a few pages! Do yourself a favor. Do your best friend a favor. Buy yourself a pick-me-up and share it by getting HEY LADY. This book will cure those mid-winter blahs!
ps- my husband saw the book title and got out some long johns of his and waved them like a flag....'hey lady, are these your underwear?"

Hey Lady, Are these your underwear?

I really enjoyed your stories, and have had some similar experiences, from stealing pony rides and sneaking out, to wrecks and finding lumps (minus the caring husband). On a return visit for extra x-rays and ultrasound, the receptionist asked if I had a living will and did I want info. I said, "NO thanks", I didn't know as I was doomed just yet. I'm surprised I didn't get one of those creepy x-mas cards from the funeral home, like my parents used to get. I still have my lumpy breasts at least. I recently published my first e-book, Prickly Things, which I'm still formatting for print, and have notes for a second, but was worried whether I would have enough material. Your book brought back some memories for me, and I realized I have plenty. I used to read more, which always made me dream up stories (that I hope to recall), but got away from it due to neck and vision problems. With Kindle on pc, I can prop up my laptop and save my neck, dim the screen, and enlarge the print.

Hey, This Book Is Cute!

Great, easy read. The visualizations that come to mind as I read this were something to behold. Definitely suggest this as a great book to give that one friend who is struggling or going through a rough spot. Looking forward to more light-hearted writings, fiction or non, from A. L. Elder.
